He works for the Italian National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) as a technologist, supporting the Italian Ministry of Environment, and he is involved in: technical-scientific support to the ministry of the environment for the Seveso directives and on behalf of the European Commission; integrated assessment of major accidents, risk analysis and area impacts, following release of hazardous chemicals; inspections on a regular basis and after an accident at Seveso establishments; training for safety inspectors and industrial risk analyst; periodic environmental inspections under IPPC-IED directive; analysis of processes to reduce impacts and risks arising from the production and use of fuels.
